Memorial Stones

The Miscarriage Association of Ireland is delighted that we currently have five memorial stones in place and are planning to place a memorial stone in Caragh, Naas, Co. Kildare in November 2011. These stones are dedicated to all babies lost through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and all babies whose lives were too short. Some babies have their own resting place in a family plot or a grave but some who only got to share our lives briefly do not and so their families sometimes need a memorial or a nice peaceful place to visit and think of them.

It is our aim to place Memorial Stones in as many locations around the country as possible. We are planning another Memorial Stone at the moment.

If you are interested in getting a Memorial Stone placed in a cemetery near you and are in a position to liaise with the cemetery regarding placement of the stone please contact us and we would be happy to discuss further.

See below for details of individual Memorial Stones.
